The Footprints of History Grand Croatia Journey

14 Day Sailing Journey between Split & Dubrovnik

Historically, Croatia has been a lively corridor between east and west. The architecture and cultural influences of the Greeks, the Romans, the Venetians, the Austro-Hungarian empire, the Turks and the Ottomans is evident throughout the land.

One of our favorite Istrian wine makers, Ivica Matosevic, gets to the heart of the Croatian experience, culture & tradition:

“My grandfather lived in Austria, my father was born in Italy, I was raised in Yugoslavia, and my daughter was born in Croatia, yet nobody ever moved.”

Our cultural tours take guests back in time to discover the rich heritage and traditions  preserved in local stories, cuisine and culture. We explore Croatia’s architecture, stone masonry, monasteries, wine making, olive oil production, lavender oil processing and of course traditional cuisine and wines.
