. . . A new concept blended with old traditions to bring Croatian wines to world markets
Rizman Winery is a little known, recently rejuvenated & expanded vineyard in a new wine region along the Dalmatian coast, not far from Peljesac and Bosnia. Their objective is to introduce new quality standards and, along with other producers with the same idea, place Dalmatian and Croatian wines in the world class wine arena.
Rizman is distinguished by its terroir and eco production methods. The soil is primarily limestone and the vineyards located on steep hills 250+ meters above sea level. Rizman grows Plavac, Pošip, Tribidrag, Maraština, Babic and some international varieties including Syrah, Chardonnay, Tempranillo, Cabernet & Viogner. The pretty winery, restaurant and vineyards are well worth a visit and represents a chance to discover a new winery from its infancy.
Rizman is a winery to watch with their indigenous varietals just coming onto the market. Today the winery produces about 25,000 bottles from red & white varietals – Plavac Mali, Crljenak, Tempranillo, Posip & Chardonnay. Their leading brands are PRIMUS Plavac Mali & Stimac Barrique No 1.
