Croatia is experiencing a wine renaissance and a burgeoning of boutique wineries. Our Short Wine Tours are 1 to 4 days. We’ll take you to Hvar, Brac, Peljesac or Istria discovering new wines, meeting the master vintners and trying local wines..
On Hvar meet a leading boutique wine maker, Ivo Dubokovic, visit the wine cellar of one of the best Croatian wineries, Bastijana, and award winning Zlatan Otok. The sunny slopes, seaside fields and unique soil make Hvar a premiere wine region.
On Brac see for yourself the history of winemaking at the small family winery, Senjkovic, which makes award winning rose and red wines. For a touch of history, explore the 15th century monastery and “dragon’s cave” on the slopes above Bol, then enjoy a variety of tastings at Jako Vino in Bol.
For style and pairing in a wonderful feast, visit Bibich winery near Krka, one of the most beautiful national parks in Europe.
In Istria, meet some of the leading vintners scattered across the peninsula in the hill towns near Pula, Porec, Umag and Rovinj. Meet master vintner Mladen Roxanich, who is producing true organic wines with indigenous Teran & Malvasija varietals as well as some great Cabernet & Merlot. We also visit the beautiful Meneghetti estate and stop by award winning Matosevic and Coronica family winery.
On our island wine tours you’ll try local indigenous varietals such as Plavac mali from Brac, Pošip from Korcula, Marastina & Bogdanusa from Hvar and Vugava from Brac. In Istria, you’ll sip Malvasija, Teran and international Cabernets & Chardonnays varietals.
All our tours are private and custom. Local transportation by private van or boat is included.
